were can I find a good free basic compiler for basic? I'm sort a new to this :(

www.blitzbasic.com has several 30 day trial versions that you can try out.

A free trial is nice but I am very poor. I am sure that there will be a fee after the 30 day trial. Is there any way to get a free compiler?

but you should really try Blitzbasic. It's specifically oriented towards developing games. Even if you only can play with it for a month, you'll learn a lot and maybe appreciate it enough to save up the money to buy it.
